Junior Interior Designer & Furniture Administrator

If you are outgoing, able to multitask, have a love for fashion & design and have excellent organizational skills then this position may be for you!  As a Junior Interior Designer and furniture administrator you will be the first point of contact for the company and you will provide support across the organization. You will handle the flow of customers through the store and ensure that all front desk responsibilities are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.  You will also be assisting the interior design firm with Design drawings and administrative projects.  The schedule for this position is full time and includes some weekend availability.

 

Responsibilities

·   Manage communication with Vendors and Interior Design Suppliers.
·   Vendor coordination, update appointment calendars and schedule meetings/appointments with multiple Vendors.
·   Assist Interior Design Firm with Revit and Autocad drawings as directed.
·   Basic space planning skills and material pallete presentations.
·   Maintain accuracy of all price lists and vendor updates.  Coordinate updates such as fabrics, new materials with the design consultants.·  
·   Update pricing of product (furniture and home accessories) when required coordinate updates with the design consultants.
·   Answer and forward any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed.
·   Receive and sort daily mail/deliveries/couriers
·   Maintain reports on daily traffic, sales, statistics.
·   Perform cash in and cash out duties at the beginning and end of each day (opening and closing duties).
·   Enter sales orders, purchase orders, apply payments in quickbooks.
·   Tracking Purchase orders with Vendors and assisting with all aspects of customer service
·   Proficiency in excel, maintaining spreadsheets etc.
·   Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, collating, faxing etc.
·   Basic space planning skills and material pallete presentations. 

Requirements

·   Proven working experience in a front office handling receptionist responsibilities
·   Revit, Autocad, Sketchup experience
·   Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
·   Basic Photoshop and Indesign skills an asset.
·   Professional appearance
·   Solid communication skills both written and verbal
·   Ability to be resourceful and proactive
·   Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure
